Last week
Yelp, the online directory for local businesses with reviews written by users, celebrated its first year as a reference for what to see and where to go in Paris.
Hosted at the
Door Studios, a venue ordinarily used for photo shoots for Vogue and the like, the Yelp party was open to everyone and welcomed guests to sample food, drink and entertainment provided by Paris' finest independent businesses.
There was an excellent whiskey tasting by the top neighbourhood food hall
Julhes, pairing superlative drops with delicious canapes to bring out the flavour of each. Hip photography brand
Lomography took snaps at their quirky take on a photo booth. Northern Marais speakeasy-style bar
Candelaria provided cocktails,
Tartes Kluger served both savoury and sweet moreish quiches and tarts,
Emperor Norton of Paris pushed gastronomic boudaries with their experimental culinary creations, Paris based brewers
Demory provided bottles of local beer... and that's not even to mention the music, the art, the snacks, the people....
The evening was great fun and we wish Yelp a happy birthday and every success for the future!
