This Saturday was the 9th edition of the Nuit Blanche in Paris - a night full of cultural events from sunset on Saturday to sunrise on Sunday, this year under the artistic direction of Martin Bethenod. The capital was divided into three areas of activity (East, West and Centre) with each hub showcasing art installations and cultural activities. We checked out the 3D bridge from the guys at We Love Art in the centre (on the Pont Saint Louis), designed by 1024 architecture, consisting of a scaffold structure covered in fabric, illuminated by lighting projections flashing and flickering in time to a specially conceived soundtrack of electro music.
What did you get up to this Nuit Blanche?
Great shot of the bridge! We walked around there and most of the Marais...I especially liked some of the smaller installations (blog post with photos soon!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kasia! I look forward to seeing your photos soon. Kim x
ReplyDeleteWow, this is gorgeous! We were supposed to go out on Nuit Blanche and then the hubby wasn't feeling up to it. So much to see and do, I am secretly thinking I should have gone out on my own to explore....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. It was a great night - they seem to get better every year. You'll just have to make sure you go next year!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture - looks like icecubes lit from beneath.
ReplyDeleteRichard - thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteForest, LW - glad you like the photo. It was even better in real life as it lit up in time with the music that the We Love Art crew were playing!
Sorry I missed it...love the photo, xv.
ReplyDeleteVicki - there's always next year! Glad you like the photo. Kim x
