Paris Fashion Week - Damir Doma S/S 2011

Paris Fashion Week is underway and the invasion of the tall, skinny clan will be hard to miss for the next couple of days in the capital. Tickets to the shows however are harder to come by and I don't usually get the chance to go to any of them, but fellow blogger Melissa from Prete Moi Paris very kindly invited me to accompany her to the Damir Doma show last night at Paris' Natural History Museum.

Doma, an up-and-coming Croatian designer based in Paris, is set for big things and yesterday's show was packed with fashion insiders (including cult bloggers Diane Pernet and Bryan Boy) all vying to catch a glimpse of the designer's ephemeral vision of femininity in a simplified palette of saffron, black and taupe.

There were some striking yet wearable pieces in the show....and I might even adopt the vibrant orange eyeshadow for S/S 2011, albeit applied with a slightly lighter hand. Bravo, Monsieur Doma!
