Rue Charles-François Dupuis Part 2: Merce and the Muse

As mentioned in the previous post, Rue Charles-Francois Dupuis is fast becoming a destination street in Paris' Northern Marais. The latest arrival on the block is the the fantastically named Merce and the Muse, a New York style coffee house serving all kinds of interesting incarnations of the caffeinated drink (but in an entirely non-Starbucks way -think aromatic hand dripped coffee rather than mocha-choco-caramel-dish water with a shot of crap juice). Set up by US ex-pat Merce Muse, the charmingly decorated cafe also serves both sweet and savoury food, and has a convival little communal dining area at the back of the shop where you can sip your coffee and have a natter with the people who have already become regulars even though the shop has only been open for barely over a month.
