If you're ever craving dim sum and bubble tea in Paris, check out new lunch spot Sum, a French eatery specialising in the chinese steamed dumplings. The concept is to dim sum perhaps what sushi shop is to sushi - a well made, French take on Asian cantine food, in a casual, modern European setting. Sum currently have two branches, one off the Champs Elysees and one near Pyramides, and are planning on opening a third around Madeleine soon. Another restaurant with a contemporary French take on dim sum, Yoom, has also recently opened on the rue des Martyrs. Word has it that the capital's new palace hotel, Shangri-La Paris, will also serving dim sum, supplied by the same people that supply Sum. It looks like dim sum is set to be the next food trend in Paris.
