Dynasty - Palais de Tokyo / MAM

Catch it while you can! Dynasty, the ground breaking exhibition that presents the work of 40 artists across two monumental modern art institutions in the capital (Palais de Tokyo and the Musee d'art Moderne), ends soon - and this is certainly a show worth seeing. The carefully selected artists all have something in common - they are based in Paris, are under 35 years old and each exhibits a work of art in each of the two venues.

There is a wide range of media (film, painting, sculpture, installations), themes (the history of art, destruction, the artist) and styles creating a very diverse show that anchors it's cohesion in its stereophonic approach of having a work by each artist in each gallery.

I particularly loved the display at Palais de Tokyo - where the approach is fresh and dynamic without being pretentious, and I would whole-heartedly recommend taking advantage of the free guided tours they offer to help understand the works exhibited.

Make sure you see it before it's too late (ends 5th September)!

Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris / Palais de Tokyo
Until 5th September 2010
