La Nuit des Musées 2010

Last night saw the 6th edition of the Nuit des Musees in Paris, where the capital's main museums stayed open until midnight with free access to their collections and exhibitions, and special events to boot. We checked out our favourite Paris museum, the contemporary art hub Palais de Tokyo, which saw a casino, the promise of performances by the Crazy Horse dancers (although we didn't get to see this), DJ sets and an after hours in-house club night by the guys from Le Baron.

But we didn't stay around long enough to boogie the night away as we were whisked off to Le Grand Palais to check out Parisian perfumer Francis Kurkdijan's olfactory installation of scented bubbles, Noctambulle...

  1. Very cool! I imagine there were larger crowds there than at Le Musée Cinématheque Française. Still, the Charlie Chaplin short film screenings were fun!

  2. nice pics! i love it when the museums stay open late in Paris. Sorry to be out of Paris for this, but will try and catch some late night ones for the nuit blanche...although they probably won't have such extensive exhibits.
